feature which i've submitted to his attention: 24
hours noise records are now on their way to become
a reality with the SpeedTouch series! I'm crying!

| Re: SpeedTouch 516 Tweaking :) I have a problem with a firmware upgrade I downloaded. It's the latest firmware, but it ever since I upgraded, I can't stay connected to my counter-strike games. Every time I go to speedtouch.lan it shows as another model, so I was just wondering how I can downgrade to the original firmware that I had when I got the modem? I opened the ports for counterstrike, and googled up my program and it seems people with speedtouch modems that upgraded their firmware also have the same problem, and I have been dying to find out how to downgrade back to my original firmware!

If i understood correctly, FirmWare v6.2.17.5 does
not appear to bring stability to everyone. That's
quite interesting to read, i wondered what it felt
like for other SpeedTouch owners! Well, it leaves
you v5.4.0.14 i suppose. Perhaps the ST is better
for those who are lucky to get access to ADSL2+...
Or maybe you got needs better served by in-between
versions, it's possible since i have modest needs.
Hummm... But some troubleshooting would be needed
here, we don't know the model/version and it's not
clear what type of disruptions you have, actually.
Perhaps the ATM/DSL/PPP link isn't failing at all,
did you disable the Web Browsing Interception (aka
Differentiated Service Delivery in a CLI session)? | |
