Cool Beans I figured it for me.
RFC 2833 101 is the payload value ( 96 is standard)
check off the 1st box 3rd and 4th
This works for me as too the time outs I am unsure
for Line one I am using standard port 5060 and line 2 I am using 64064
now to play around with the call transfer, and the other sub menu features.
Now I can accept calls and Transfer and record and all the neat features that GC offers.

| BTW I changed my 411 in the dial plan to (>#|911|611|p(411)8003733|00|0T|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|1[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxxxxT|011[2-9]x.T|*x.T) 411 for free
The original dial plan:
(>#|911|611|411|311|00|0T|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|1[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxxxxT|011[2-9]x.T|*x.T) Original uncorrupted
There is a way to change to 7 number dialing if you so choose. |

| Hi orygunsunset,
the last few things you did is that something personal to your situation. I have line 1 working but not sure if I should mess with DTMF, settings. What is DTMF? I am not a tech guy, so I don't know what that is.
Also, The first few times I configured my gizmo, it went back to the old sunrocket defaults. Do I have to disable to autoconfig to get my changes to stick?
Thanks Vince |

| Hi Vincy for fish, When I first signed up for SR in 2005 with free phones and got the AC-211, we had Vonage as well, SR I could never call the bank or Credit cards.
The DTMF are the tones that get sent when you press one "to order a pizza" 2 for xyz.
I belive that I have the older firmware Because of the limited length in the Dial plan ( Never mind about this right now) I have'nt logged back in to check.,
It was only an issue when Grand Central, that was not recognizing the DTMF, to answer calls or transfer or the other features, I call call the Bank or a Credit card or other system and the touch-tones were fine. So I am unsure if DTMF is important for you or not. |

I think I will hold off before checking the DTMF boxes. If I have trouble with the functions of press 1 for *** and 2 for ***, I may play around with it and ask for your advice.
Thanks Vince |

What is the "p" mean? I take it its supposed to take the number in parenthesis, in this case 411 and append it to the remainder resulting in 800-373-3411
FWIW this is what I tried: (p(411)3733|1[2-9]XXXXXXXXX|[2-9]XXXXXXXXX)
No work for me... |

| reply to OrygunSunset Dear Oregon Sunset,
I am also from Portland.
I have been reading around trying to understand my phone problem - which I think may have something to so with DTMF.
It appeared that your device was similar to mine and that you might have some expertise in this area.
I have an AC211-SR. I gather that this is just one of the SunRocket "Gizmos" and that solutions for one may not work for another. I am not sure if you had or still are using an AC 211, but it seems you might know something about it.
I infer that the Innomedia gizmo is not an AC211. My Gizmo does not say Innomedia on it. The manufacturer seems to be SunRocket - at least on the face.
My serious issue with my new phone setup (I currently have Nuvio as my VOIP service provider) is that I cannot communicate properly with one of my three subfinder systems. A subfinder is a computer system that assigns substitute teaching jobs. Hence at this point it is my livelihood. It requires a password and in one case both a user id and a password.
This is the problem. And I finally recognized it as the same problem I had with SunRocket when I tried to join a conference call with SunRocket. However, I never had any problems with my subfinder systems when I had SunRocket.
I seem to have "solved" the problem with two of my subfinders by turning bandwidth comprehension off and setting my device for "Play DTMF received via RFC2833. This is what one fellow at Nuvio suggested. I do not know if this will have any other unanticipated problems, but it allows me to check to subfinders to see if I can get a teaching assignment.
However it does not work for my other subfinder (the one that pays more and the one that may be adding a whole other school district that I could get work with).
I do not understand why it is not a simple matter to get this to work, as I have no trouble when I have access to a simple land line - such as when I am at work.
Can you help me sort this out - i.e. what settings I need for my AC211?
Should I bite the bullet and purchase a new Gizmo or whatever it would be called now days?
Should I change to another VOIP besides Nuvio?
Thanks. |
