| MagicJack blocking? calls to ViaTalk?
I now have one phone set up on VT on my SR gizmo and another phone set up on my MagicJack.
Today, when I call 866-626-7150 from the VT number, I CAN get through.
But when I dial the same number from my MJ number, I get a half a ring and then back to dial tone.
If I dial 1 in front of the number, using the MJ phone, I get dead air. So far this number is the only number on MJ that is giving me trouble.
I would rather use the MJ phone as my gizmo may be messed up and I really need help with it - it's cutting off calls after a few seconds.
When I dial 899-25-PHONE (viatalk's other number) from my MJ phone, I get "welcome to ViaTalk" and then it goes back to dial tone!
I don't want to call VT from the VT phone because I think my gizmo needs adjustment.

Please Check your phone's CODECS. Maximum Toll free numbers start with 800 or 866 work with ULAW codec only.
I had same issue and codec ULAW resolved it.

Some others have reported problems with VT 800 number on Magicjack forums. You might want to check there.

On a call you can right click where the call timer is and then go to statistics. |

Your Codec on MagicJack is 711 unless it is MJ to MJ and then it is ILBC.I am looking into your problem now.This call is being carried over XO and they might have a IP to IP call issue going on here.What happens when you dial MJ number from Via Talk? |
