I don't know.
I live in Denver, Colorado.
According to speedtest.net I'm averaging 22000kbps download and 1500kbps upload.
I'm testing 3 consecutive times and 3 days per week.
I'm on Comcast's 8.8M / 1.6M Workplace Commercial Enhanced HSI. I've been told that Powerboost does not apply to Comcast's Workplace Commercial Enhanced HSI.
I am also running SuSE Linux.

If you don't know (no notice from Comcast about Blast! availability, you didn't order it, your bill doesn't itemize it, like that), it's most likely PowerBoost, not Blast!

I test out at 24000/1500 easily and when I download large files (I count 4.38GB OS ISO's from my MS beta account as large) it stays around 2.7-3.1MB/s. When I upload files to my off-site server for backups it normally stays around 125-180KB/s. So for me I'd safely say that it probably is something similar to Blast!, or just a really reliable PowerBoost lol.
Man I remember when I thought 2400baud was fast, now it's 3MB/s LOL. |
