| reply to pleekmo said by pleekmo :I continue to have issues with only the main account (the one I log in with to AT&T). The other e-mail boxes seem just fine. I seem to get some sort of password authentication error -- even if I input the password again. Something about an invalid password. Mail service does not seem slow otherwise. I don't have a topic in direct for you currently. Please post your information including account that is having the problem in the direct forum please. |

It's been pretty stable here all week. Have had a few timeouts now and then but I would say it's at 99.7% fixed -- " Laugh while you can ... monkey boy " |

said by David :Just a show of hands, or posts in this case. How many people still are suffering from e-mail problems? has it died off at all or no? I have been getting misc. reports it appears to have might been fixed but don't know. It seems OK in Danbury at the moment. |

said by Rungel :Real slow for me a 4:17 pm. Plus no mail which is odd. I feel sorry for anyone with a business depending on these servers. I have always found that the web mail interface works OK while POP is struggling. Except for issues of address books and filters, webmail is a good alternative.
Well, I thought I'd check webmail just now before posting, and it gave me an Error 500...! But after a couple of reloads, I got to my mail.
My Linux mail server keeps soldiering on with no hiccups, along with email on my external webhosting service. Remind me why we need Yahoo? |

| reply to latichever I had slow retrieval last night, slow sending last night. This morning it was OK. It seems like they mail servers need more capacity.
Has anyone tracked the time of day when it sucks? I bet at 3AM its fast as can be, and between 5PM and 9PM suckage is obvious.

| reply to msewing said by msewing : For me, there are no "errors" -- just very slow response time to POP mail commands. It has been better lately, but sometimes Thunderbird's gears keep spinning for quite a while when it is trying to connect, authenticate, and download messages. Up to a few minutes, when normal response is 5 - 10 seconds or so. I was seeing the same exact thing here as msewing stated above. I'm using Seamonkey Mail. It has been much better since Sunday for me though. It's also funny that all last week when I couldn't connect with my primary pop account, my sub accounts had no trouble at any time connecting. -- " Laugh while you can ... monkey boy " |
