What?

If they so concerned about security, then just do not allow installing those applications on company's computers. It seems that a lot of universities and colleges can do it but the government can't...

Oh, wait a minute... Is a security concern just a picked up reason to shut P2P down? It seems to me...

The admins are too over worked and / or there is too much red tape to be able to lock things down.

I've done some subcontracting for some gov't agencies that weren't even able to share files across the room. They had been relegated to manually duplicating things or relying on sneaker-net on the few pc's with active floppy drives.

Ill go with the pure incompetence, coupled with more ulterior motives for 200 Alex.
