Actually I just got a call from Verizon asking if it's been fixed. I explained to her that it's not and how to fix it. It's a simple thing to fix. I mentioned you guys too. She was very helpful. I threw a couple of other bugs at her too. She seemed like they wanted to get all issues resolved. I was impressed they called and were concerned. She said she would follow up with me. I tried it here and it does leave out the HD channel – guess because it's missing the HD logo, like you said.
I think when it's setting up the recording, it thinks the two stations are the same and it just picks the first one it finds. In both of our cases it's recording the lower numbered one. Yours just happens to be in HD and ours happens to be in SD.
How could they close out your ticket? It's still broken. I'd open another one if they did.
(we probably should switch over to the new sticky that got set up for the new IMG ) |

I guess the box gets confused when two stations are showing identical data with no distinction between them. They need to put the HD logo on the HD station. If you go into the guide and select HD channels only, does it leave that one out? It does for me. |

I think this may similar to the problem occurring in the Phila area. CSN-HD 829 and CSN-SD 65 seem to be solidly paired somehow. One major problem here is when we try to record on 829 (HD) it always records on 65 (SD) instead. I posted it in the Direct Forum a few days ago and they still don't have a solution.
Just curious ... Are you able to record on 801? Or does it instead record on 861? |

my girlfriend just ordered Harry Potter on demand and i swear its like watching it on vhs. i want to call tech support tomorrow but thats probably not going to solve anything. all sd channels look so much worse ever since the upgrade. i'm glad i wasn't one of the people "begging" for this piece of garbage to arrive. hiccuping scrolls, lousy resolution, and an ugly interface to boot. i'll try using component cables tomorrow.
stupid question here but...is there any way to request a hddvr box from V* that has the IPG? it was so simple and neat.  |

The Urge channels are not the only channels with problems, it is just easier to see the picture problem that started with the IMG rollout on Urge because nothing moves. Same with the scores on ESPN News.
By the way, Urge never looked as bad as it does now through the 6416 before the IMG, and it still looks the crisp way it always did through my TiVo. |

They always blurry here and they look the same.
If you check it out look at the URGE channel 679 (Smoke). The guide data labels it as Science Fiction and the description says it is about Gisel Dells Chiara describing Havanah Cuba and the cigars you can get there. |

Somebody mentioned the URGE music channels look worse now and are blurry. I just checked it and they are right. On the standard boxes it is clear, but the DVR is very blurry, I will try the different override settings later and see if it changes anything. |

Now that the IMG 1.0.4 is rolled out everywhere, I think a new sticky thread maybe titled "IMG 1.0.4 Bugs and Requested Enhancements" is a great idea. Not sure if you'd need a corresponding one for location-oriented issues. As new versions are released I guess it might make sense to isolate them in a separate threads.
Part of my problem is that I don't know where to ask a usage question. It's not a bug or missing feature and it's not location-oriented. If I open a new topic will it just get closed?

I agree We need a new Sticky for the newest 1.04 guide bugs & missing features ...
& with each rollout of a new update allow the previous sticky to be replace with a new one.
This will also benefit any Verizon software/techs as they won't have to deal with an 87 page thread with plenty of outdated / buried info ... |

I asked this a few pages back when the patch was first released. Evidently, the original post is now old enough that it can't be editted anymore. The originator started a new thread asking for help on starting a new list, but nothing ever came of it.
I think a new thread might be in order, with a new list, that could be stickied, and the old one (this one) be allowed to die. |

Is there any way to get the original list of bugs and missing features in the first post of this thread updated now that everyone has the 1.04 version of the guide? That list is now badly out of date and there is no one place that has all the current (1.04) problems listed clearly. I'm thinking it would be very helpful for anyone from Verizon visiting these forums to see what still needs to be fixed (or for anyone complaining to Verizon you can show them the list as proof that others are experiencing the problem).
Maybe the Mods will let us start a new sticky thread specifically for problems with the 1.04 guide as this old thread seems to have become not very useful. |

My bad on his issue - didn't see the "grainy" claim a few pages back and it wasn't referenced in your auto-quote. He does say that his picture looks *worse* under the IMG, though. Not sure how that's somehow *not* an IMG issue.
Doesn't change the fact that my (and a growing number of other posters') SD through the 6416 looked one way before the IMG and looks a different, worse way after the IMG. |

Not sure what you are responding to. My post is in response to a poster claiming video issues he had in the old guide and still has in the new guide is a bug in the new guide. Read the previous pages of the thread and you'll see the post I'm responding to and the statements made by the poster I'm responding to.
