Re: [FireFox] Tweak Updated

A few refinements to the tweak list.

Open up the user.js for editing which is located in your Profile folder.

Copy & Paste the updated tweaks to the user.js overwriting the old ones. Save any changes and close the user.js

Restart Fx for new settings to take effect.

Edit* Note these tweaks are for Fx v 2.0 but also work in Minefield which is in development. Expect changes over time until Fx v3 is Officially released later this year at which point I will release finalized tweaks for Minefield separately.

@rr.com
Great tweaks.

I noticed you removed the "network.http.connect.timeout" pref.

Any reason why?

Per Mozilla

»kb.mozillazine.org/Network.http.···.timeout

quote:
This integer preference specified the number of seconds to wait after firing off an HTTP request before considering it “timed out”. It was originally set to 30 by default. This preference no longer has an effect.

Depending on a users connection there may or may not be improvements from the tweaks.

Generally though users have reported a marked improvement with page load speeds but of course YMMV.

Thanks for the update GK. Pages are really quick to change. I had a couple of sites I go to on a regular basis that were just slow, no more.

First locate your profile: »www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/···e#locate

Then use any text editor to add the tweaks into user.js.

Did you run Profile Manager to see if you are missing it?

MysticGogeta, sweet Works like a charm.

Still, I can't figure out why I don't have a profile folder. Bizarre.
