Re: [HN7000S] Can someone please help me?

When I recently had my .74 m dish replaced with a .98 m dish and changed service plans, when the installer came out, Hughes had me assigned to G17 (74 W). I ended up elsewhere because of line-of-sight problems, but the installer told me that he had been doing quite a few installations to 74 W and that, generally, the best he could get in terms of signal strength was in the mid-60s, which made me happy that I ended up on a satellite where he could get me into the 90s. While this doesn't explain your red x's or your slower speeds, it would not seem that the lower receive signal level is the result of poor pointing.

Hi LesZ

Where, if I may ask, did they move you to?

Also have you ever done the diagnostic and hourly report test on »192.168.0.1/fs/advanced/advanced.html ?? and if so what kind of results did you get?

Thanks,

tolut aka Tom

I'm on G26 (formerly IA6), which is where I was previously when I had the .74 m dish.

And, no, I have done the diagnostic test. When I check the hourly diagnostics page, it is very rare for me to see any red x's. I may see one or two per week. It may not even be that many.

Thanks cdrcrkmo and LesZ

That is what I was afraid you were going to say. I have maybe 2 or 3 green checks for the Lan and the Downlink and all the rest are big Red X's. Wonder if the trouble could be with the Modem?
I have all green checks for the antenna pointing.
