| Did anyone get billed from SunRocket A few months ago my bank sucessfully issued a full chargeback to SunRocket for my year of service (~$236). Today I look at my statement online and see this:
9/21 SUNROCKET INC. 800-786-0132 VA $80.22
Wow. I did the math and it roughly equals the 4 months of service I did receive. I tried calling the number listed but of course it is disconnected. I'm debating whether to chargeback. On the one hand it equals the service I received before they went under. But they never disputed the chargeback and I did not authorize this charge. What to do...

You received $80.22 worth of service and sunrocket is entitled to that amount. I would just give them that money.

| Re: Did anyone get billed from SunRocket I agree with username1961. However someone could argue that they paid SR for 1 year of service. They failed to honor that and are not entitled to anything.
Since SR didn't challenge the dispute is it legal for them to just charge the card again? What would be the point of disputing the charge in the first place. Proper procedure needs to be followed not what would be cheaper for the company.
Looks like this would be an unauthorized charge to me.

| I did receive a reply from the bank that SunRocket responded to the credit. It was denied. However, they credited $160 back due to services unrendered, hence the $80. They went through the correct process, so all's fair. I suspect others will be receiving the same outcome.

1 edit | I had almost exactly the same thing occur.
I challenged the credit charge and asked for about 80% back (not the whole credit) - and my CC gave all of that to me. After the fact, I realized that part of the charge I asked for back had already been refunded at a different time, by Sunrocket.
I just let it go - then about a week ago I got a new charge from Sunrocket for about $48. Since the refund had been $39.95, I assumed the other $8 was simply Sunrocket's calculation of what I had "duely received" vs. my own.
But - I had been given a $188 credit, then Sunrocket charged $48 back.
I still got a $140 credit, and in hindsight, I would have felt $148 was proper.
So - final result - I let it go and will accept the $48 charge as long as the $188 credit is there. To me, that is fair - the $8 isn't worth arguing about.
