| Mafia 34 - Margana
 Margana Keep |
Its another pleasant day in Margana, the small township named after the country's greatest hero, Grimthane Margana, former Arch-Captain of the Royal Army.
Pontius Sabre, a swordsman, Aegis Emitenitas, a sentry, and Omega Fesdens, an archer, practice their hand-to-hand techniques outside the armory while Rhea Stile, their captain, advises. A steady clang can be heard from the blacksmith shop of Piers Marigon as he pounds out some weapon or another.
Fender Fithontow, the minstrel, lays on his back in a pasture with a sitar, practicing a tune. Ed Thorfin, a cartographer, looks out his window occasionally as he reviews the naval maps hes re-drawing. In the neighboring apartment, author Pasha Howdley is trying to get over a vicious case of writers block. Greta Sonduno milks her cows so she can take the milk to sell in Ally Dovelay's general store. Just waking up in his bed, detective Martin Shagan wondered what sort of menial issues hed be tasked with today. Would he have to round up the geese again?
In the tavern, Earl Inklot is serving a couple pints to Maser Hellswolf, the aging war veteran, and Dan Jutrusk, who could only be described as the town drunk. Tony Blackwoods beats the rugs from his inn against the walls while Sally Nepastas is baking up another batch in her bakery. Gene Grist tends to his flock of sheep. Ares Jetsjut, the town jester, spends his time dancing around the keep entertaining all who pass.
Todd Hartsbeam, the mayor, looks down on the prosperous town from his keep on the hill while crossbow specialist Lorie Blesdon mans the keeps watchtower. Yes, things were going well today. He could see mail courier Ikona Stiller delivering today's only letter to Dale Priestly, the towns doctor and a hobbyist astronomer. Even the odd hermit on the edge of town, Thane Tarot, was out enjoying the sun.
Yes, today was a good day. Nothing could possibly go wrong on a day like today. -- "Independent thinkers tend to ALWAYS have someone Not agreeing with them. It's The non-thinkers that ALWAYS come in legions." -John Callari |

3 edits | Good morning.
A 'no lynch' vote is permissible.
THEY DOCK YOU: If you werent given permission and send a private message, THEY DOCK YOU. If you post the exact text of your role PM, THEY DOCK YOU. (Other flavor PMs from mod OK to post) If you complain about anachronisms in this game which implements elements of the past and the present, THEY DOCK YOU. If you collaborate with people from the forums who are not playing in the game, THEY DOCK YOU. If you fail to participate for long enough, THEY DOCK YOU. If you collaborate with a dead player, THEY DOCK YOU. If you violate a rule that you didn't know existed, THEY DOCK YOU. If you edit a post without asking permission which will rarely be granted, THEY DOCK YOU.
Most other common rules apply. If you're not sure, feel free to ask. The Bastard Mod reserves the right to modkill anyone at any time if they skate around the edges, or just for his own personal whimsy.
If lynch consensus has not been reached within 24 hours of a day's start, bad things may or may not happen. There is no limit to a day's length. Things are different in this game. Expect anything. Try anything. If it doesn't seem like something is possible, you might need to try it anyway. You may not lynch/protect/whatever a person by character name. All votes and etc. should be done in the name of the player. Votes for a character name will be ignored.
Vote counts will not be publicly tabulated by me, though you guys are free to do so if you wish. When a lynch vote succeeds, I'll let you know. -- "Independent thinkers tend to ALWAYS have someone Not agreeing with them. It's The non-thinkers that ALWAYS come in legions." -John Callari |

| reply to AmeritecTech I have some information that I would like to share with the castle....it was delivered to me by the local mail courier....
Apparently we are to look out for a person named: Peter Henkine because he just left the last town. At that town he was acting suspicous and people started turning up dead...
Just a thought.

| reply to AmeritecTech good morning everyone. I thought I would enjoy the nice day today and maybe go for a walk, but this news of Peter Henkine is troubling... anyone want to take a stroll with me so I am not alone? yikes the idea of a killer in Margana sends a shiver down my spine. -- If it is not recorded, it simply does not exist. |

| reply to AmeritecTech Things I find interesting:
The player manifest is not in alphabetical order nor in order in which we signed up. It has obviously been randomized... are the mafia lumped together in that list hmmm?
There was no death in the opening scene. Therefore we aren't really a lynch mob yet. From the story point of view a lynch does not yet make sense.
We hear rumors of a possible killer entering the town. I wonder if this is the start of a recruiting mafia or if it is a lone killer. As we have seen no evidence of a mafia yet (again from opening flavor text) I might be inclined to think that we have a lone bad guy who will recruit others...
thoughts? -- If it is not recorded, it simply does not exist. |

I was thinking the same thing. We have a lone person (Peter Henkine) who we know left the last town and was a person of suspicion. In his house they found a note mentioning our little castle of Maragana.... |

Maybe the Mod wan't to see one so he can drive us bonkers.
Dez is right there is no lynchmob formed, we have theoretically no one to go after, no sides, goons are hidden within our very walls of Margana. -- "He who is not afraid today to say 'no' to the repressive machinery of a criminal bureaucracy earns the right to be called a Human Being." »lp.org/ »www.ronpaul2008.com/ |

| reply to AmeritecTech However, they do exist. Our odds I am assuming are the same as any other game.
However, I fear that our bastard mod may something in store if we lynch someone for no good reason.
Also, if we live in ye olde days, why is their a jet trail in the sky of our castle? Dragons perhaps? -- It's one thing to listen to an idiot talk. As soon as you respond, there are now 2 idiots having a conversation. ~~ The test of the morality of a society is what it does for it's children |

| reply to AmeritecTech Also I am tempted to think that not all of us are probably characters from the opening.
There are many more then 11 names mentioned in the opening, about 20 by a glance count.
Since all of us are obviously not correlated to the names in the opening scene, then there could just as well be some of us who are not in the scene. -- "He who is not afraid today to say 'no' to the repressive machinery of a criminal bureaucracy earns the right to be called a Human Being." »lp.org/ »www.ronpaul2008.com/ |

| reply to AmeritecTech Yarr. Ye scurvy dog what calls himself a bastard mod has given me a humorous post restriction for being insolent in an IM, arrr.
With ye small game such as this'n, this lass would not be surprised if'n ye bastard mod did something such as dezbend suggests instead of starting with several baddies. Ye question is... is the town's strategy better to lay low or to start point'n ye fingers right away? Yarr. I am no fan of ye 'no lynch' in general but sometimes I suppose it is good sense.
Me wonders if we shall see calamity fall upon us today... with ye ominous "nothing could possibly go wrong on a day like today"... |
