| [Opera] What's wrong with reply box here on Opera?
What is the matter with the reply box here on Opera? It works fine to start a new topic like I am presently doing. However, if I click on the "reply" button on a thread, I get this weird little box on the left of the reply box and the mouse cursor will not go in the reply box...only in the tiny box on the left. | reply to lilhurricane Well, it is ok now here. But I was just over at Wilders Security where I was informed I had tried to login with invalid password and I had not made any attempt as I was hunting for the password in my password folder and wasn't near the computer. Then I logged in and the page was very distorted looking. I tried to make a thread there and got a tiny reply box (bigger than here but still tiny). I tried to upload two screenshots and the site said both had uploaded but only one appeared and the upload page there was very distorted looking also.
I just hope it stays ok here and maybe when I revisit Wilders it will magically be ok again. I have seen both the reply box here and the strangeness at Wilders on other occasions using Opera but not often thank goodness. I have no idea what would cause this. I have rebooted at least 5 times in the past 24 hours since we got a speed upload upgrade (a BIG one) and the ONLY browser that has worked correctly since the speed upgrade is IE on all computers. I have no idea how a speed upgrade could mess up my browsers but it happened immediately after I rebooted the modem to get the speed upgrade. -- "The same ferocity that our founders devoted to protect the freedom and independence of the press is now appropriate for our defense of the freedom of the internet. | reply to Cudni Well, this reply box is also normal looking.
Yes, I am using Proxo. I have cache turned off (both types).
When I started Opera it presented me with a page I haven't seen in ages asking if I wanted to start fresh or load the tabs from the last time. Usually, it just automatically loads the tabs. I don't why it asked me this time and hasn't other times. -- "The same ferocity that our founders devoted to protect the freedom and independence of the press is now appropriate for our defense of the freedom of the internet. | Aha! Thanks. It did it again a few minutes ago. I switched to IE as, for some weird reason, I have no problems with it but do with all other browsers. I came back just now to this thread and saw your reply and thought aha! I had checked fit to width in preferences for Castlecops that produces a horizontal scroll bar other wise. All I did was look to see for sure if I still had it checked and the page convulsed and I had the normal box to type it. I had it checked and I didn't uncheck it. Just opening preferences "fixed" it. That seemed nutty (but my computers have been doing a steady stream of nutty things for 24 hours now) so I tried another thread and clicked reply and got the tiny box again. So, this time I went in preferences and unchecked fit to width and the screen reloaded and I have a proper box. -- "The same ferocity that our founders devoted to protect the freedom and independence of the press is now appropriate for our defense of the freedom of the internet.
