A friend in Manhattan already has the NHL Network on Time Warner-Manhattan since Oct. 1st.

I spoke with a CSR about two weeks ago asking about TBS HD (which there are no plans to add) and he only mentioned MSG HD for the Sabres games. I would think that he would have mentioned the NHL Network too if he knew anything about it. Of course, it was just a CSR, not a higher-up. | |

It seems that Time Warner Manhattan seems to get everything right on schedule. The NHL Network debuted on October 1st there. | |

| Re: [TIME WARNER] NHL Network for Buffalo, NY--When will it be a I think Time Warner WNY is making a huge mistake by not adding the NHL Network. The Buffalo market does huge ratings for the NHL and to be locked out of a top market is poor marketing.
As far as the excuse regarding bandwidth, they found bandwidth to add the Fox Business Channel and assume they could add the NHL network the same way. | |

| Well, it looks as if Time Warner reversed its position regarding the NHL Network in the Buffalo market. This was in Alan Pergament's column today 10/17/07:

It looks like Time Warner in WNY will be adding the NHL Network shortly. The Buffalo market will have more hockey choices in ever before with CBC, MSG, Sabre HD, NHL Network and the NBC games. For the real hockey fan, you can buy the NHL out of market package on digital cable. | |
