| Leaving after 5 years
So after 5 years I finally ended up leaving speakeasy. I posted here about a month ago saying I was going to leave and a rep called me and I decided I was going to say. But after thinking more about it I have to leave due to the money. I love speakeasy But i can not see my self paying 180 bucks anymore. I ended up going to fios for the 30/5 package.. Hope I can come back in the future |

| reply to andranic well before I get into my problems with Fios Let me tell u why I left speakeasy.
Speakeasy was nothing but great to me in every possible way. never had any problems with them at all. The only reason I am leaving right now is money. I Cant afford the service anymore. If it wasn't for that I would still be with speakeasy. Now on to fios. The biggest problem I have is there router/modem. You have to use it. Either u have to use it or u can run a cat 5 cable from your router to the box outside. If you plan on geting fios tv then you have no choice. No static IP. I already have some issues with bit torrent. of course those are little things and I have found ways around them if you read the fios forum. If you have the money and want to stay with speakeasy try the adsl2 service |

| You can get Static IP and Fios TV and use whatever router you want. You just need a 2nd ont to get a business account and Fios TV at the same time.
I wouldn't pay $190 a month for 15/1 from speakeasy when I have a business account with Verizon for 35/10 for $184 a month.
Who would when you could have this for less?

| reply to BLUNTED 1 That $184/month, how much of that is the service cost and how much of that is taxes/fees? (if you don't mind me asking). While I'd rather not have a second ONT on my house, it may be worth it if I can get the lowest-tier Business account for the same price (or less) as I'm paying for 6/768 with SE.
