| [CT] Since when Premier plan is 20/2 ?
I moved out from my parents house [CT] at the end of august. I think premier plan still was 15/2. Few days ago i checked cox website and noticed that premier plan now is 20/2. So im just wondering when they updated from 15/2 to 20/2 ? And does anyone feel the difference?
p.s. Does anyone know if cox planning to upgrade up speed in ct and when? Thanks a lot...  |

well fios is still not there and i dont kno about other competition... but it increased from 15 to 20. Still wondering when this increase in CT was made?
p.s. Whats the point to increase just down speed and not up? Also the difference between down and up is huge... i would rather have 15/5 instead of 20/2. |

You sure thats not just the speedboost you are seeing or is that a steady 20 down on a large download like 2 to 3 gigs?

Plastic man... if u'll go to cox website... and choose region CT... go to offers... then high speed internet and internet plans or whatever. It says premier plan ... 20/2 + power boost.
p.s. i think during august (i cant remember) i reached 2.6 MB/s one time on torrents... but it wasnt steady. It stayed at 2.0 MB/s and stuff. Now i should be able to get at least 2.3 MB/s steady at night time. I'll check that out when i go back to my parents house during a Halloween break.
oh one more thing.... i used to get steady 1.7-1.9 MB/s with 15/2 on private torrent sites, not all the time but pretty often. |

If you live in a certain neighbourhood that offers FIOS then boom, enjoy it.
Don't let the caps byte you on the ass on the way out, though.

well last time i was checkin for fios... it was not available in my area. If u check fios map in ct... its only around ny border.... the rest of ct has no fios.
so i dont kno why cox is increasing down speeds in ct, because i c no competition over here. Maybe cuz we r one of the oldest and richest states in usa... ? |

Time to call Cox. And wait till fios comes to me next year. I will be taking the 20/20 connect if they roll it out here which I am sure they will do.

Its UVerse in CT not Fios. Its still the same speeds in CT just with a different description. It is p to 15 mbps with up to 20 mbps with powerboost. |
