Same here. I use Grab-it and when I use Astraweb, I max out my 6 meg service with 8 connections going. When I tried switching to WOW/Giganews, it dropped to about 50K/sec with 4 connections at once. Maybe it's a Giganews problem?

From your response, what I suggested didn't work. Did you sign up for the "secure" account with powerusenet? If not try upgrading and use SSL on ports 443 or 563. You can reconfigure you existing newsreader if it supports SSL or install an add-on if it doesn't. A game of cat and mouse.
