| [Need] help removing unwanted exe file
My Father has downloaded a file called BearShareV6(2) its an .exe file and is on his desktop. I have looked to uninstall it and remove the file but every time I try to get rid of it it wont allow me to delete it, it says in use I have gone through all the processes and cannot find it there to terminate the process. It doesn't seem to be doing any harm but it's up to no good I just know it's nasty. Can someone advise me how to get ride of it. Tried safe mode too, still wont delete, and its not in add remove programs either. Avast doesn't see it as a virus either.
OS: XP home.
Please help, Thanks in advance... |

Will either unlock it so you can delete it or offer to delete it at next reboot.
Either way, file is toast! -- Think outside the Fox... Opera |

It is always malware??? |

Usually caused by programs that are written poorly! -- ~~Get our troops home...now!!~~ |

Boot into Safe mode (tap F8 while booting) and you can delete it from the desktop. Then reboot without F8 to get back to normal windows. -- M-O-O-N, that spells assimilation...Tom Cullen of Borg. |
