But have THEY started to cancel accounts yet?
I wish the reps from Bell in the Direct forum would come in here and be more vocal on issues that we have. The only one we have answering questions is Deadpool, but sometimes then he doesn't have answers to everything (or wont answer some things).

I suspect that they'd have to get permission to divulge the info you really want from management and legal. I doubt that will happen!

The only thing they confirmed was that they are throttling "heavy torrent users who use the following as shown in their own forum:

As for the rest:
-invisible caps
-cutting service off
-limited unlimited
-business accounts being thottled
-point at which the thottle or profile degrade beings
-what you have to be below to not get cut-off
-and the rest of it, guess you can ask in their own forum (link above) to see if you get a reply on these issues and legit questions.

Here is the official word posted in that forum.

quote:
Hi Speedy,
Bell Sympatico has launched a solution to enhance the online customer experience and improve Internet performance for all our customers during peak periods of Internet usage with the introduction of Internet Traffic Management. There continues to be phenomenal growth of consumer Internet traffic throughout the world and Bell is using Internet Traffic Management to ensure we deliver bandwidth fairly to our customers during peak Internet usage.

Bell will be using the latest, state-of-the-art technology to improve the customer experience for a vast majority of our customers’ favorite applications (such as Internet Browsers, E-mail, Instant Messaging, Streaming Video, etc.) as required during peak times on the Internet, while ensuring all customers receive fair use of the network when there is heavy Internet traffic. In addition, Bell continues to make significant investments in network capacity and speed to meet the growing Internet demand.

You left some of that "official word" out.

You also failed to note some of the "official word", such as, "Some of the applications that are included are the following"

You failed to mention a lot.

I suggest people read it for themselves and not just blindly follow what dks has to say.

All your questions should be addresed there as well for ALL to see. So that certain people who have "vested interest" in Bell not swade your outlook and opinion.

I beg your pardon? It was a direct quote from the Bell forum thread quoted above.
