| reply to yock said by yock :That's how I interpreted it as well. Perhaps there wasn't anything wrong with the execution of the role at all then, I just fell victim to unfulfilled expectations. See, I expected, once I thought I had the thing half-figured out, that whomever you targeted would die, and then I'd be outed because Chlen revealed in the thread that it was my role that he sent to you.
But once nothing happened, and you said you got a blank IM, then I figured that Muz had decided that since I showed up Innocent to Cops, I should also show up as "no role" if the Baker sent my role to someone.
I could have ridden that all the way home to a win - it was "proof" I was Town, especially with an Innocent Cop result...

| reply to Johnny said by Johnny :Nobody understood it, not even Chlen. We certainly didn't. Chlen chooses Johnny, chooses Yock to send it to, and Yock does not see that it is Johnny's role (i.e. he sees the role but not that it belongs to Johnny)? That's how I think it worked... because Chlen decided to reveal that it was Johnny's role that he sent to Yock. So - my conclusion is that if Chlen had chosen Dan, then Yock would have been told that he had a night poison, but not that it was Dan's. Then Chlen could reveal in the thread that it was Dan's role that was sent to Yock, Yock could reveal that it was Player X that he targeted, and when Player X dies of poisoning, Dan would be outed as Scum. Right? yse |

| reply to yock said by yock :I'm just frustrated because I was lynched primarily because of how that went down. Chlen had such high hopes for how that would play out. When nothing really happened I think a lot of folks assumed I was scum. Perhaps Chlen's input would be valuable before you decide to change anything. well chlen what say you.....i'm totally open to re-vamping this role because i actually really like it. it's a fun role and could be pretty cool.
do you think that yock should have gotten a night kill?? |

Is he told what the ability is? the person receiving the bread is not told what the others role is. but he is told what their ability is. your ability was to appear innocent. As it stands, the IM said nothing happened. yes....u should have appeared innocent anyways....it was a new role for me...so i have to work through the kinks still... |

Lets do a scenario: Chlen told me to bake the bread of older dog (cop for my scenario) and then he told me to give the bread to yock (politician). Yock would receive an IM come night fall that says, "You at some bread and have been granted the ability to investigate someone this night." He would be able to do his normal politician role and one investigation for that night... make sense? How would it had worked if he had picked either mine or Jim's role? I don't know....he would have been able to choose an action...but there was no other half...so it wouldn't have worked... |
