[Poll] Internet Browser - 2008 Member Choice

Wikipedia defines a web browser as "a software application that enables a user to display and interact with text, images, videos, music and other information typically located on a Web page at a website on the World Wide Web or a local area network. Text and images on a Web page can contain hyperlinks to other Web pages at the same or different website. Web browsers allow a user to quickly and easily access information provided on many Web pages at many websites by traversing these links. Web browsers format HTML information for display, so the appearance of a Web page may differ between browsers."

Notes!
This poll tries to determine your primary browser, therefore it is a single choice poll.

In the past, we tried to list every browser and/or shell known to man. The truth be told, there are really only a few browsers available and previous years polls yielded very few (if any) votes for some of the more obscure applications. This year, the poll attempts to focus on the major players only.

If your choose "Other" than please post your choice so it may be included in the results. Other may also be used if you use a browser shell (e.g. Maxthon)
What is your preferred Internet Browser?
Mozilla Firefox 372 (53.5%)
Microsoft Internet Explorer 147 (21.1%)
Safari 75 (10.7%)
Opera 63 (9%)
Camino 12 (1.7%)
Other 10 (1.4%)
SeaMonkey 8 (1.1%)
Netscape 3 (0.4%)
Mozilla 3 (0.4%)
K-Meleon 2 (0.2%)
Epiphany 0 (0%)
None 0 (0%)

Will the DSLR class favorite win once again or will there be a dark horse to claim victory as the preferred browser? Cast your vote now!

I'm still happy with IE6. I tried IE7 but didn't like it and reverted back.

It really is a toss-up for me between IE7 and Firefox, but I'd have to give the edge to IE7

Thanks for the poll! It gives me a chance to try out some other big-player browsing apps other than IE7.

Great poll!

Using Fx 2.0.0.9 as my primary browser. Use IE7 only when absolutely necessary.

MS IE 6
(tightened down)
Got it so tight that at times I have to use Opera 8.51.7712.0 on some sites like file hosting and navigation of some company business sites.

Yep, I know, older versions of both
Starting to get a lot of respect for Opera, now that my limited use has stretched to close to a year.

Firefox primary browser due to several extensions, Opera secondary browser, and use Maxthon Classic/IE7 for a few sites that render/print better with IE.

IMHO Opera and IE7 overall does the best at re-formating web pages when printing to fit to page width.

Also do not care for IE7's toolbars, especially that you cannot move the Command Bar. So I use Maxthon Classic with IE7 to have the IE6 toolbar flexibility, Tabbed browsing, and the improved page printing features of IE7.
