One note however the phone number listed above I think is only for the Midwest division, you will be routed to a different number for Texas. I think it is the Fiber Sales department. I don't have the number with me or I would post it.

No. When I spoke to a rep to order naked DSL, I was told that is only offered to those that want U-Verse. The 1.5 mbps and 3.0 mbps are only offered for the dry-pair DSL. Yes, I did order mine earlier this month. What I found rather interesting is the rep told me if I would've ordered DSL with a phone line I would've been active within a day. When ordering the dry loop, it takes them a week before it becomes active. I ordered on November 5th and was told it would be on on November 15th. I checked throughout the week and lo and behold I was active on November 12th (Veterans' Day observed).
