Would you like to have a so-so photo and photo-shop it into something nice, or a photo that needs very little work? In other words do you prefer taking or working on your photos? I think I like taking them. |

| reply to SueS I certainly prefer taking photographs and whatever limits Photoshop work is great! Sometimes it is fun to play around with certain digital filters and strange crops, but I really enjoy the feel of sunshine and wind. -- Judd Patterson Photography |

| reply to SueS I must admit to showing some so so pictures that I have photoshopped, this is because I feel I have to show something-go figure.Of late I seem to do less photoshopping on my 3 exp shots. But on the whole I like taking the shots and I get just as much enjoyment processing them in PS. |

| reply to SueS I cannot tell which one I prefer. I think I prefer one that I merely size but since working with editing tools also happens to be one of my favorite things, as much a passion as shooting, I have to sit solidly on the fence with no choice one way or another. I find nothing at all wrong or right with either one. |

| reply to SueS I try to get everything as close to correct as possible when shooting so I'll have less work in PP'ing, but I've found that PP'ing usually always helps tweak the images and make them a tad better than just out of he camera and resized. But....I like to Photoshop. |

1 edit | reply to SueS I prefer to take photos. I think that I would enjoy post-processing more if I were a lot more skilled at it.

| reply to SueS It depends on what I want to show. For the most part I will crop a photo instead of a zoom. My Raw images are rather large format and it gives me the ability to be more precise in what I want to say with my shots. Some minor tweaking to get what I actually saw in the natural setting as far as tone and range only. I wish I had the Camera and Lens to do the actual photos I wanted rather than PP. But one step at a time. Learn first buy advanced latter. -- ****aka The WIZARD **** A Founding member Seti BBR Team Starfire**** |

| reply to SueS All my favorite photos have been photoshopped...and all my favorite movies have that unique 'look' that I like. Like lord of the rings has that nice fantasy 'feel', the matrix has the greenish tint, etc etc.
But i'd prefer a photo that needs little work over a so-so photoshopped one. Of course, a good photo and good photoshop is the best way to go (i think). |
