[WA] Pics of the Chehalis River flooding disaster

Freeway overpass in Chehalis was underwater, including Wal-Mart on the right. I-5, which runs below, was completely submerged
A Centralia neighborhood that runs next to I-5 which is fully submerged at the right.
Flood waters from the Chehalis River inundate a neighborhood in Centralia.
Looking south, semi trucks sit stranded on high ground above the flooded Interstate 5 at Exit 77 in Chehalis.

Just got these today. Two more coming in next post.

Airplanes were moved to high ground at Chehalis Airport.
The barrier on Interstate 5 between the northbound and southbound lanes is swept away in places as the highway passes through Ch

Just Rachel occasional optimist Premium join:2003-07-10 Mccloud, CA	Wow, that's a lot of water! What a horrible mess it must have been for everyone. I can't even imagine having to deal with cleaning up and trying to get things back to normal after that. I think the airplane pic is very cool!

I'm very familar with the interchange in the first picture (car trouble on the way to Eugene 2 years ago, manage to glide off the freeway, across the bridge and into the Ford dealership directly below the camera (yes they flooded out too

) had lunch at the Applebee's while it was fixed (I think it's the red building bhind the new tan ones just across the freeway) Most of it was still under construction or just opened.
the freeway under the overpass was under 10' water/mud for 4-5 days, but was basically undamage.
Not so for the surounding homes and farms, everything was tainted by mud and almost everything has to be thrown away

still some amazing stories of survival and helping coming out of that area.
