I just got ma 2wire modem from Canadacomputers, seem to be working fine, allready have laptop and pc downloading at full 500kb combine + had the vista sp1 pakage downloading and it works perfectly fine so far... hmm does this mean i din'nt receive a "dud" =)

buju im glad you solved your problem with your 2700. Keep in mind that anytime you are buying used or refurbished equipment from a reseller there is a possibility of getting a faulty unit.

By the way, I once asked a salesman at Canada Computers about the return ratio - he indicated about 25% are brought back as duds.

we have had loads of these blinking red power lights we found that it seems to be problem with the Power leads. If you try the same Hub with another Power lead all works ok. There is also a disclaimer on each powerlead which recommends using a surge protector. I guess the power lead is a little oversensitive
