The softdailer software has NO configuration options other than User ID and password. The router does not include settings for STUN or SIP, although my WIMAX modem does. |

The softdialer has no configurations options and I don't recall anything like that on my router. Hi Barry, I don't have any intention to run a softphone for this service. So, I wouldn't know how its configurations are. You will have to start poking around the softphone to find out if it has a support for STUN, outbound proxy, or a SIP Registrar Address server, etc. -- Mazilo US Phone: +1-678-601-0907 UK Phone: +44-703-194-2574 |

What if freephoneline.ca give us ATA support for free and they take voice mail ads from their sponsors and send them to our voice box? They properly stated about those advertisement voice mail messages. in the service agreement. With a Free ATA + free services + some ads, I don't mind. |

Hi there, At this moment we do not support ATA's or 3rd party SIP phones. We will be offering a solution within a couple weeks. Cheers, Freephoneline Employee It looks like a couple of weeks has gone by and no solution as to BYOD. What gives? Care to respond? -- Mazilo US Phone: +1-678-601-0907 UK Phone: +44-703-194-2574 |

| reply to Livadia following is from FAQ on freephoneline.ca site: "Can I make calls using a regular phone? Yes, call us at »www.295.ca/accessinfo.html for details and to have your VoIP (voice over internet protocol) modem shipped to you ?"
I called them and the person didn't know anything about VOIP modem - he was selling me 295.ca service.
why don't they have email contact so we can ask them questions directly ? |

| reply to EVH Has anyone tried the call quality between regular phones (i.e. no computer involved)? This is the scenario: I have a Montreal number that I have set it to forward all calls to my PSTN number. If someone in Montreal makes a regular PSTN call to that freephoneline MTL number then my home telephone should ring.
How is the quality in this type of calls? I could try once, but just one try is not indicative of the quality. Maybe a few responses will give a better picture.

| reply to mazilo Well I don't think it's a port issue. I called a buddy from my PC to his PC and it worked perfect. I called the same person on his land based line and he could hear me but I could not hear him. When he called me from his land based line it never picked up on his end even though I answered and it showed as connected on my PC.
I cannot get this to work calling a land based phone. |

I don't mind opening a port but i don't want to remove my Firewall completely.
What is the port that it's trying to use? You will have to ask FreePhoneLine what ports are used on its softphone. AFAIK, you are better off using STUN options instead of manually open ports on your router. -- Mazilo US Phone: +1-678-601-0907 UK Phone: +44-703-194-2574 |

@ericsson.ca | reply to Zombie999 try port 6060 instead of 5060. It seems that freephoneline is using 6060. As my softphone does not work, I tried "check network connection" from freephoneline softphone, and it gave info about 6060 and another one (donot remember). |

@rogers.com | reply to Zombie999 Follow-me settings are still 'stuck' to original settings, despite changing them repeatedly. Buggy.
They should show current 'follow-me' settings on the web site profile. |
