Moving Digital Cable Box

If I have digital cable in one room and regular cable in another, if I move the digital cable box to the room with regular cable, will it work as fully featured box?

Sure it will work. You can do anything you want to do with your cable boxes in your house.

as long as the cable company does not have any fillters on the line going to the other room.

The most important issue really has to do with the signal quality at the outlet in the other room

VERY true - when Insight here first offered cable modem service, they did this very religiously in all homes w/either cable modem &/or digital cable boxes. They also put filters on lines at their outside taps for all basic-only subs. However, Insight stopped doing this about a couple years ago & no longer uses these filters at all - but obviously, many homes still have them in place.
