| reply to snipper_cr How much freak'n rain are we supposed to get today? It's been pouring since I got up at 4 am this morning. Been pretty windy too.
My pond is overflowing, my yard is a lake and I'm sure if this keeps up, I'll have water in my basement too. |

| reply to snipper_cr Whew, woke up this morning and it was down pouring the whole time. I went around my folks house to make sure all the down spouts were working (IE connected to their drains/not cloged) and even with an umbrella, got soaked.
Also, a few weeks ago apparently some strong winds blew in one of the windows in my room. So come home to find cardboard covering one of my windows. Fortunately even with the rain its still reasonably dry in my room -- Serenity Day - June 23rd 2006. You Can't Stop the Signal |

The real shocker could come late Sunday into Monday as an intensifying low pressure system moves from the lower Mississippi Valley into the Midwest, bringing a cold rain that is likely to transform into a wet snow here as temperatures drop into the middle 30s.
Recent warmth should prevent the snow from accumulating on pavement, but cold surfaces and grassy areas may be in line for a late-season coating of white.
Should measurable snow (0.1 inches or more) occur here on Sunday night or Monday, it would mark the city's latest measurable snow in nearly two decades when half an inch fell on May 6, 1989. I'm chasing storms in the southern Plains this week, so... uh, have fun guys! -- If everything seems to be going well, you've obviously overlooked something. |

| reply to snipper_cr There are some huge ass storms just cross into illinois now. We've had winds gusting over 40 and 50 down here in champaign ahead of these fast moving storms. Looks like they are going to storm through with a bitch slap. Batton down the hatches! -- Serenity Day - June 23rd 2006. You Can't Stop the Signal |

| reply to snipper_cr Looks to me like we'll still have highs in the 60s except for Saturday. The rain isn't supposed to arrive until late Thursday and should be gone for Sunday, so you might still have your shot at getting things done. -- If everything seems to be going well, you've obviously overlooked something. |
