BryanViper's Seal Cap
Hi BryanViper,

It's not a matter of mental sanity at all.  You've
been making circles around that thing for a while:

My demarc????, BryanViper, 2004-Mar-6
My OLD Wiring, BryanViper, 2006-Mar-22
Major Line Stat Diff, BryanViper, 2007-Sep-14
Phone Jack Wiring info?, BryanViper, 2007-Oct-5

I wasn't sure how to make you realize it had to go
in the end, then it seems like you filtered it out
and hence you turned 2 dB of attenuation into 2 dB
of additional SNR Margin!...  I won't be reassured
until i see a good picture of the stacked (double)
filter inside Bell's demarcation box to prove that
you done it, the numbers may be good with a direct
path but the suggestion was to cut all parasitics.

Lets hope you won't regret not to use this remedy:

By the way...  I added my above edit to remind you
that the test socket isn't protected by a seal cap
anymore if you effectively inserted filters in the
vocal circuit.  So, You better be safe than sorry!

Don't tell me there are no filters in that box, it
would worsen the risks and i may very well turn to
Angelo in order to get one of his certificates!...

haha, you love posting all those old links :P

Actually at first I hooked it up and I was getting the same stats I always did with no difference. I think managed to squeeze a Filter into the box and my stats got Much better.

I'll have to eventually take a picture of the demarc box when I get a chance.

Hi,

If you can't then so be it but distributed filters
only reduce parasitics beyond and not before them!

ya those bell boxs are way to small, I had to force the filter in there. & there is no way I can fit anotherone in there at least not the ones I got.

Oh well, a couple dBs is still a gain!

Although i'd love to see twin filter numbers even if it's temporary...

well if the weather is decent tomorow I might hook up another filter just for you :P

Also while I was doing this I was going to try and hook up my Cat6 to the actual bell box on the poll which happens to be right beside my house. I also know which 2 pairs are mine so i could of done it, but it was getting cold and I wanted to finish
