I use NIS 2007 because it works fine on my system. Pre-installed may change at a later date. For right now I am satisfied.

And yes thanks for the poll Owlbet.

Nice Poll Owlbet. I have used a router combined with Windows XP firewall since I first installed my router with great success in keeping intruders out so far.

Behind a router and software firewall.
I have been using ZA free for around 10 years. Never had a problem of any kind. Recently I was given an opportunity to try Outpost Pro.
I am only into the 3rd day of testing and so far ZA is much better. It is very easy to see what programs want out. Also easy to set permissions. And of course Zonelog Analyser.
The reason I am trying Outpost is that they discontinued Tauscan. This was a very good trojan scanner with real time protection. The folks at Outpost made a mistake by discontinuing it. IMO
They have bundled the scanner into their firewall. So far I personally do not like the firewall. I will look for another good trojan scanner and go back to ZA free.

Two Win XP Pro SP2 PCs and notebook behind NAT/SPI router.
On newer Core 2 Dual system, and notebook trialing OA Free, on older P4 1.8 GHz still has ZA Pro 5.5.094.000.

Edit: Fixed typo of ZAP ver.

Still using the a golden oldie! Kerio2.1.5

Light on resources compared to the newer softwares yet provides the control/configuration that i require so no need to change/update for the sake of it

I formerly used and liked Kerio 2.1.5 but removed it after a software conflict with PerfectDisk that can only be resolved by upgrading Kerio.

I tried Comodo, but didn't care for it. I am currently using just WinXP behind a router. It's good enough for the kind of surfing I do.
