Re: How do I rid myself of this Actiontec Router?

Really? I used my Linksys and it worked perfectly without the ActionTec.

Why did I switch? Because ActionTecs have problem with showing server lists on games that run off of Steam like Counter Strike, etc. I dumped the Linksys recently and went back to an old Dlink router and it again, works perfect.

So... I donno.. my TV guide updates just a-ok.

If you're getting your TV Guide updates just fine, where is the Actiontec in your data stream. Unless you are using a NIM, the Actiontec must be connected somewhere.

Ah yes, I did forgot I did have a NIM. But in that regard, why do I have a NIM yet others do not?

You had your video install done before the Actiontec router was on the scene - we used to add NIMs to the D-link routers when we did video installs/adds
