But since Verizon usually lures new customers with a lower price than the incumbents, wouldn't saving money on a product make more people switch? I'm just thinking if people are tightening their belts, some folks who would have been too lazy to switch providers might start looking around. This would allow for more income and an increase in capital expansion. |

| There is not $20 FIOS internet plan, like there is with DSL. Sorry, Verizon sees ultra cheap DSL as only a temporary solution to get the most profit out of old equipment before it goes bye bye when FIOS comes (you can't order Verizon DSL once FIOS is turned on, business decision by Verizon). |
