I myself use none.

I've used Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware successfully a couple of times to clean others computers. Works speedily & effectively.

Have you tried Bluetack's hosts file? It's quite large.

I few AS solutions installed in my Windows box but I rely more on hardening the system via including locking the registry and accessing the net under a limited account.

The problem that I can see with programs such as SpyBot is that they're great for removing the stuff after infection but we are fast moving to a time in which we are going to have to detect the malware before it actually infects the machine. You guys all know that the crap coming out now practically needs to be bombed from orbit to be taken out.

As for anti-virus software digging deep into the OS... we need that now to detect the crap that too roots itself deep into the OS.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the best way to remove malware is to never get it.

i use SAS Pro, Spybot, Spywareblaster and the MVPS Hosts file.

Thug21-
SAS is a phenomenal cleaner. I fix machine's on the side and that program has literally rescued machine's that I had planned on reformatting and installing a clean OS on. Plus the realtime protection in the pro version is transparent. I cant even tell its running. The best 19.95 i have ever spent. The AbLounge, Ultimate Chopper, and Don Lapre's real estate program do not touch it!!!

I use SaS free and Ewido Micro for on demand.

Always heard SaS was a good cleaner-upper but never had to test it firsthand. A friend of mine had FW/AV killin' Vundo but SaS nailed it.
