Info rate question

If I have a modem that works like:
Info Recieve Rate: 90Mbps
Info Transmit Rate: 1.6Mbps
like the one I have from »www.elitesat.com/HughesNet_HN700···tion.asp is that any good?

The speeds are "up to" as you see on the link you supplied... "Up to" means that it could be that anywhere from zero "up to" the fastest speed available. It wouldn't be guaranteed though.

Is there anyway to find out about how fast a Hughes Net modem could run. How would I be able to optimize my modem. Is it something that HughesNet has to do or can I do it?
