GNet Tweaking via DMT |
It seems few of us, me included, have been shown
how to adjust the GNet MoDem. Mine is a BB0060B
and i decided to share my tweak tricks with you.
Essentially, you can use 'DMT' to make this task
easy, the parts in dark colours are those to pay
attention to. I'd suggest you start with Coding
Gain: make it 7 dB (maximum) instead of "Auto".
The number of Bits per Bin might need to be made
lower in presence of noise, then you can delimit
narrower DownStream and UpStream bandwidths. It
is often useful to reduce the number of UpStream
bins in order to help with your DownStream band.
Tx Power Attenuation and the rest aren't part of
the following list since those depend closely on
the local conditions, this is only for starters:
