Car took out a power pole last night and it looks like it took out my video card (nVidia 7900 GS).

Where did it happen? (The car/pole accident?)
My power went out around 10:00am and was out until almost 11:30am, shuttimg down my fleet and Crunchy2. Around 11:15am there were a couple of false restarts in the power but not until 11:30am was it fully restored.
Still don't have everyone back online yet. Got to get the UPS units back up and then the computers.

PC now in the shop - so they can determine all of the issues rather than me replace each part. Hopefully it is just the motherboard - be at least a week before they will be able to look at it.

With as insane as computer repair pricing has become, I think it might have been cheaper to just start blindly replacing parts until you find the bad ones.
But I hope it works out for you.

| If they are good they should have it done in less than 2 hours and that is less tan the cost of the motherboard (slightly more than the motherboard if bought from NewEgg). But at least I won't have to wait 3 days for each part...
The only things they have to test is the ram, CPU, and motherboard - I use onboard sound and NIC and the video card is new.
I do wish it was running - I miss my 19 inch LCD already...  |

Bloom County | Supposedly - only issue was a stick of ram. I changed both sticks out and put them into different slots and never got video up so that is odd BUT a LOT cheaper than a motherboard as the ram is Crucial and has a lifetime warranty. |

PC will probably be up today after I rearrange some of the stuff in my PC room for the new UPS. It may have to go down again if I have to send back both sticks of ram.

Bloom County | DDR2 - not sure if the sticks I have are part of a kit or 2 individual sticks. If they are individual then I should be ok with getting a replacement on one and keep the PC up with the second stick. |

Main PC is back up - running on a gig of ram. Crucial has yet to get back to me so I think I will have to call/Live Chat to see about that on Monday - I am taking Monday and Tuesday off of work.
