Galaxy Cable Limits Bandwith

If your like me then internet considered a living expense.

I download movies, review websites, upload programs, and full disk compilations. you get the idea.....

Needless to say they no longer meet my needs.

here is a letter i sent them and will keep you all posted
============================================================
Subject: Acceptable use policy

23. User usage should not exceed more than 14 gigabytes combined of uploading/downloading of information per month. If user does exceed this allotted usage they may be subject to additional charges and/or possible termination for cause.

I spend $100 a month for your serves. I have been a costumer (off and on; i move alot) for some time. I also recommend you services to everyone. Mainly because i haven't found costumer serves that surpasses that of InerTech. I have never been harassed before and this "fair use limit" is unacceptable for my needs and the amount you are charging.
Your competitor, Windstream (»www.windstream.com/support/default.aspx), dose not restrict bandwidth nor dose my connection through Alltel Wireless(»www.alltel.com, 1-800-255-8351). Both services are available in Shickley NE and run about $89 (NOTE: both include phone services the actual Data plan part is unlimited and much cheaper)

I would like information on your solution to this issue. I have been advised to enroll in a business plan. If this is offered at reasonable or comparable price i will consider that option. If not addressed, my business will be taken else where along the my advising my local customers (i own a small and trusted PC repair/advice Company) to use your service.

SLIP"i used my real name" (coder, programmer, gamer)
===========================================================

SO when i called and asked about the business accounts i was informed that none of there accounts had unlimited bandwidth . bottom line you can't install guild wars, WOW, steam or whatever it is you play, in the same month you YOU WILL BE DISCONNECTED..

That's exactly my point. The tech that actually flipped the switch, wile i was in the middle of some research on about my ppc6800, informed me that i had exceeded the limit in just two days. When i rebuttaled he informed me that one of my file transfers was over 8 gigs alone and accused me using a file sharing program.

Tech "so witch file-sharing program are you using to download music" (note: AS if any group of music files is an 8gig download lol)

Me "I Don't Download music"

Tech "then what where you downloading and what program where you using"

Me "For one, That's none of your damn business... I upload disk(ISO) compilations for colleagues and friend to assist them in the pc repair industry"

Tech "blah blah are aware of our fair use policy"

Me "I Will Be!!"

Tech "blah blah more crap"

Me "you service is no longer meeting my needs"

Tech "I'm turning your service back on just watch you usage"

Me :bows my head in shame: "yes mommy" -- note didn't really say that!! lol

the tech seemed to dismiss my further questions and just seemed to want to get off the phone at this point...
=======================================================

A customer of mine had a similar experience this morning except the tech actually hung-up on him.... so there goes the customer service i had bragged them up about.

I will no longer recommend their services to anyone and will spear head the effort to do the exact opposite. My next step is to write an article to the local paper.

Oh, sprint is also cheaper then Alltel, if you have Alltel in your area, you should be able to use sprint as well, as they have roaming agreements. You can get a Sprint Data card on a SERO plan for as little as $49.99

I also use VOIP on mine saving me around $1,000 a year in overage fees on my cell ^_^
