we who had insight and now forced to comcast must suffer slower speeds until comcast can upgrade their equipment to be as good as insight, was told that they had no idea how long this would take but it includes all customers in il that used to be insight. |

1 edit | It's pretty erratic right now for me. Sometimes I'll get download speeds at 30 Mbps and sometimes its 5 Mbps. Pings also jump all the time with very frequent packet loss during prime time.
I really don't want to go to DSL but if that will get me the low pings I need, then it will be goodbye Comcast pretty soon.
And what's up with this ridiculous routing I'm getting to various Chicago based servers? Some of my favorite gaming servers USED to go from here in Urbana/Champaign pretty much straight up to Chicago with Insight. Now I'm going all the way to Indianapolis and then sometimes up to Michigan then back to Chicago for an AWESOME(not) 50 ms as opposed to the 15ish I got with Insight. 50 ms was something I used to get to Dallas, Denver, and New York... |

| I am seeing the EXACT same issues as Oddsk8er.
Speed jumps around a lot (I have not seen 30Mbps...my speeds have been fluctuating erratically between the 10/1 that I should be getting and much much lower), pings are MUCH higher at all times than they were before the cut over, and routing is taking me into Chicago, then out to the East Coast, then back into Chicago before sending me along to my final destination. |
