 All this negativity...

I admit, I like bashing on Charter too sometimes. The past performance in my area was pretty sub-par in years past, but in recent times they have really gotten their act together.

What is different about Charter vs Comcast? Well I for one actually think Charter may be BETTER than Comcast! Oh noes - that statement totally goes against BBR rulahs!!! omgwtfbbq1@#$!@#$

REASONS WHY CHARTER IS BETTER THAN COMCAST:

A. They do not throttle/block/reset or in any way inhibit torrents.

B. NO CAPS!

C. For better (in my mind) or worse, PowerBoost doesn't exist (yet) with Charter. This is actually okay with me because it won't throw off speed tests or allow them any excuse not to give me full bandwidth. In my opinion, PB becomes a detriment in heavily loaded areas because even though the "peak" speed may seem acceptable (on speed tests) the actual sustained performance can be much less. PB is just a trick to allow them to oversell their nodes more. Now if you're in a Comcast customer in a lightly loaded area, PB can be a blessing - but in the loaded down area it just masks the true poor performance.

D. (and this one applies to me, but no all Charter areas) I get my full 10/1 connnection 24/7/365 with LOW latency that rarely fluctuates more than 1-2ms.

----------

If Charter can keep up with the "hands off" approach to throttling & caps, then Charter *may* atually end up having the best DOCSIS3 out there!

If you're on a oversubscribed node, powerboost doesn't activate. I know because im on a loaded node and have very seldomly gotten PB to activate.
