[rant] Steam sux.

Can't play any of my Steam games--I'm stuck in some interminable update loop--many say 100% but won't let me play.
Tried multiple suggestions from Steam support site...
Two of the games unistalled themselves, and so far all I get is Steam servers too busy for d/l.
Contacted Steam, no help there either.

This is one majorly #%#$&*-up interface IMO.

I have the same problem, people told me it was just my computer/connection and not steam, but I fixed it kind of, I forgot the work-around though

Try deleting the .blob files in your Steam directory. There are 2 of them.

Holy crap that worked! Thank you!

No credit to the Steam support site...it only tells you to delete the client.blob file...

you have to look in the right place...deleting the client registry blob is the most common solution and will be the first thing recommended by people in the steam forums

Steam is good. Now don't blow it off.

I love Steam, it's worked fine for me.

Just reinstall steam and see what happens.

I've about blown my top off with all the problems and loss of entertainment time this cursed software has caused me. I will not be buying any more software that uses it. Okay, maybe HL2Ep3. Maybe.

That's odd. I love buying off Steam, it works so well for me and so does my 20 other friends from school I play with :P

Whats your computer setup? Operating system? Purchased alot of software off Steam?

Steam works really well, one little issue has never been enough to deter me because it usually works real nicely.

Yeah for some reason my HL2 and CS:S could not work since it said that my trial was expired...! WTF..!

so got in touch with support and after 3 days of emails they told me to delete the .blod files and try it again.

It worked, but it happened another 4 times. It hasnt done it since then...
