[E-Mail] EMail delivery problem to insightbb

Let me start off by saying I'm not an Insight customer; I have AT&T DSL, with our email handled by Yahoo. But the problem I'm having is with sending email to an insightbb email address.

It's not a persistent problem, but in the past week about half of our emails to insightbb get bounced back after 2 days with the following message:

Sorry, we were unable to deliver your message to the following address.

xxxxxx@insightbb.com:
Message expired for domain insightbb.com
This seems to indicate that contact cannot be made with the insightbb smtp servers.

I did a quick look through this forum and don't see any Insight users posting this problem. Has there been a known email issue with insightbb?

Some of Insight territory is now Comcast.

I'd re-verify your delivery addresses haven't changed by contacting these folks another way if you're able.

lilhurricane may have your answer, but from my end, remaining as Insight service, the mail system has always sucked. I live half a mile south from the building providing the physical connection, it can take often 3 to 4 days to get an email from myself, one Insight address to another Insight address. I mean, good grief, does the Insight tube (I had to, lol) go only north, around the globe, get stuck in both Polar ice caps, then back to me?

The change over may in fact be the problem. But there are two other things to keep in mind. If this is a former Insight customer and they setup their email transition properly. Then any email going to the old address should be forwarding to the new one until such time that the forwarding service is turned off. The second thing to keep in mind is that there are in fact some older threads where people were reporting similar types of issues.

»Insight Email not working with Pobox.com Relay Service

»Still unable to receive e-mail in Rfd, IL

That covers Insight Yahoo conflicts of the past.

»Is anyone getting Yahoo Group mail dleivered?

SBC now AT&T issues seen in the past below.

»sbcglobal.net rejecting mail at least from Decatur?
