IE7 is much leaner than IE6 actually, as Microsoft made IE more componentized and less integrated into the OS for security reasons. Similar with WMP, but for antitrust reasons with the EU.
Also, I like having the most secure version of IE and WMP too.

That's what I'm waiting to do so I can do a fresh install(s) that is long overdue. |
