Surfboard SB5101 Restarting

Howdy --

My modem has started restarting itself. Looking at the log reveals this:

-DHCP RENEW WARNING - Field invalid in response
-Started Unicast Maintenance Ranging - No Response received - T3 time-out
-Received Response to Broadcast Maintenance Request, But no Unicast Maintenance o
-Modem Is Shutting Down and Rebooting...

Signals:

Downstream Value
Frequency 579000000 Hz
Signal To Noise Ratio 37.2 dB
Power Level 2.8 dBmV

Upstream Value
Channel ID 1
Frequency 22000000 Hz
Power 41.0 dBmV

As far as I know, there are no splitters on the line.

The signal levels could be changing (impossible to tell from one post), but the ones you showed all look great.

Signal To Noise Ratio 37.3 dB
Power Level 0.3 dBmV

Upstream Value
Channel ID 1
Frequency 22000000 Hz
Power 43.5 dBmV

You might want to post about this problem in your ISP forum or I could move you over to »Cox HSI if you would like.

It seems to more of a Cox problem rather than your modem to me.

Both sets of signal levels you posted are OK, so this would appear not to be the issue.

Hi,

This has been happening to me too on the east side. Sunday and Monday had a few reboots of both the phone and internet cable modems at the same time. Signal levels are great so I'm guessing they are doing some work or upgrades upstream.

This problem is still occurring and is quite frustrating.

Could you PM me your modems HFC MAC address and I'll look into it and see what's going on.
