Decrypting WPA/WPA2 Traffic

Would someone on the same wireless network as me be able to put their wireless adapter in promiscuous mode, capture my traffic and decrypt it if they had the PSK? Is this possible even if it would be very difficult?

Yes. If they were in range of your Wi-Fi network, had your 4-way handshake captured, and had the value of the passphrase used for the PMK generation (or the value of the PMK itself), then it's possible to decrypt WPA-encrypted transmissions in real-time, assuming they were able to put their wireless card in RFMON (monitor) mode.
