Re: Rocky was on CBC Radio!

That may not be a bad idea and probably would take about the same amount of time, only require way more storage, still it'd be worth it.

"the majority of their users are finding their speed cut by as much as 90%"

This is almost right: I could torrent at over 400KB/s during my first weeks of TSI service and now my torrents are nailed at 30KB/s. This is actually in excess of 90% slower.

If thats what you think then they need to be educated."Grann's gonna have to wait for the video of her grand kids because it's a P2P file so instead of having it before nightfall she has to wait till morning."What if we stopped compressing files to send them. How do you think they would react then with no compressed P2P files.

I think it is about the easiest way of conveying this information to users that do not have the technical background to understand the situation. I hope that they do explain that all packets are analyzed and someone makes a report that simple throttling of one protocol leads to high latency since deep packet inspection is performed on all TCP and UDP packets passing through the routers.

I think that because Primus is now involved, there will be a lot of heads spinning at Bell with the pending Class Action lawsuit. I do not know what Bell was thinking - but they now have to deal with their ridiculous actions.

Great except for the fact they said large files AGAIN.It is not large files. It is anything on a protocol they don't like.Does not matter if it is 2MB or 700MB or 5gig it is still throttled.

It's been posted at this link as a streaming feed:

Let it load and go to about 5 minutes or so from the end (24:52 Minutes elapsed time).

It should be downloadable at 9PM or so.

Rocky was on CBC Radio's flagship newscast "The World At 6" tonight. If you missed it, the newscast will be posted later tonight at »www.cbc.ca/w6 (usually around 9PM eastern or so).

If I see a link earlier, I'll post it.
