I would love to do this but I live in Windsor with no way to Toronto. Could we picket the local COs? Block them from accessing the physical connections and let the network go to shit for the day. Most of us would be in front of the CO so we wont be online to be affected :P

Picketing BTS (Bell Trinity Square) is useless, there is so little staff there.

If you want to picket something that will cause serious damage , you need to picket 5115 Creekbank Road. That's where the residential call centres for sales is located.

While picketing you will also screw up Bell Mobility, and many parts of Bell. This is the location you should be targeting, it's high profile, and remember BELL IS SALES DRIVEN, you need to hit them where it hurts, Picketing the network centre at Wynford drive won't do much.

There are 3 entrances, 2 off creekbank, and 1 off eglinton that are used to access the property, most res people arrives just before 8am. You would have to start picketing around 7:30am, and would need enough people to shut down the entrances to really cause any form of impact.

Seems, that spending an hour on the sidewalk in front of your local bell store during rush hour would be time better used than in front of corporate headquarters..

The only point in doing pickets against an organization as insensitive to public opinion and logical arguments as Bell is to draw media attention to your cause. For this purpose anything under 50 people just looks pathetic. What's needed is either very large numbers (100+) or a novelty (like coordinated pickets in multiple cities) to make a strong impression.

If we could get >100 people to legally picket Bell offices in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec city at the same time, then it's worth doing. Anything short of that would be a waste of time and could even be counterproductive.

The only way I could see something like this happening is if some already existing group, like TSI or the NUPGE, got behind the idea.

spikeIH you're about 500km off. Bell's corporate office is actually in Montreal.

Or you can take advantage of the fact that April Fool's day is coming up on a week day and do something wacky at the Bell building. Set the stage and alert the press there.

Do you need a permit for protesting? Always plan ahead before acting.

What you do is have a meet up point no where near the place. If lots of people show up, it's a green light and we take it over the Bell HQ to cause a ruckus. If only a few show up then you just don't go and no one's the wiser.

Probably more than a few but it could backfire badly if you don't get enough people to get over the newsworthy threshold.

Basically its right behind the Eaton Centre on Bay street. If we can get a decent crowd, I'll certainly join in.

I was thinking we could organize a picket out front of a bell building in Toronto sometime.

Bell has really angered me and something needs to be done about it.

Anyone know where bells corporate head office is ?
