| upgraded to Total Internet Performance and got put on 60GB
I have had unlimited since they day I signed on, I pay by the month, the wife upgraded to TIP becuase she was told by the rep we would still have unlimited, she upgraded because the rep said it would save us money
I just checked my bandwidth usage and almost fell out of my chair when I saw this ...(see pic)
1) talked to first level billing I talked to "Alley X9429" she was not able to solve the problem so she put her supervisor on
2) "Hecter XK71" said there was nothing that could be done and this will slowly happed to ALL unlimited accounts I am furious....just livid at this bull$hit I opened a ticket is there anything I can do? AKA A Total Of 60 Gigabytes of usage, you can purchase an additional 30 Gigs of usage for 10$, or If you ask you can get the unlimited package for 25$ EXTRA, and keep in mind thats in the fair usage policy.
That is the way it has been since TIP and TIM came out.
If I were you I would post in the direct forumn and see if theres anything DeadPool or any of the other folks can do to help you |

| reply to shwing This happened to me back in October '07, I was on 5meg unlimited, I wanted to try ADSL2+ 7meg so I had to upgrade to Total Performance.
I was assured many times that I would stay on unlimited. In the end I never got upgraded because the hardware was not active in my area yet (but they happily sold it to me), and a month or so later I noticed I was put on 60gb cap. Several calls to the business office all promised remedy, but nothing happened, 60gb cap remained. I cancelled in November. -- GOLF LEAFS GOLF! |

Providing a blanket assessment because your one particular node is overloaded is not fair at all. Tell the rep you speak to that a ticket outlining the previous package needs to be sent to "AMDOCS". Takes about 2 weeks to reflect the change. It's not advertised because of the rather small dept would be overrun with demands. And no, they (AMDOCS) do not take phone calls so don't even ask to speak to them. -- Be careful who's toes you step on today, they may be connected to the a$$ you have to kiss tomorrow. (Unknown)

Go to the cancellations department.. they are the only ones who can give it to you. I just got 8 months at $37/m with unlimitoed BW just maybe 2 weeks ago. This is AFTER Deadpool told me in the forum there was no way I was going to get unlimited bandwidth.
Call them with the intention of cancelling. |

I just got off the phone with billing I first spoke with "MaryAnn XM380" who insited I had a cap on my previouse plan, which is not true...she insisted that I did...a blatent lie Then she put me on the line with her superviso "SerIgn7261" he refused to foward a ticket outlining my previouse plan, he would not respond to my questions...I pointed out that I am the customer... he insulted me by mocking me and saying "ahh...the customer is king eh" ! He then hung up on me! I had opened a ticket Friday (#86893505) I was promised a rep would contact me within 72 hours...nobody called
The original order number for the switch to total internet is 7533563, this is where the rep told my wife we should switch because it would make our monthly bill lower, both the wife and I are quite savvy when it comes to internet and computer...so she made sure to ask that we would still have unlimited and she was promised me would
So far I have been lied to and verbally insulted...I have never been treated with such disrespect by a company in my entire life...this is unacceptable what can be some about this? |

| reply to shwing Bell is telling everyone who has unlimited that they don't have unlimited, and also telling people to PROVE they had unlimited.
You can see it in Bells own forum and this one. I think we will be seeing more of this again.
So whats your choices?
1. Write an Email to kevin.crull@bell.ca (president of residential services) Tell him what happened (see if he cares) and say after being insulted like that you want to leave sympatico and to shove (use a polite word) the cancellation fee, if any.
The call one of the wholesale ISP's and get hooked up with them. They are unlimited.
You can find one by making a post in the Canadian BroadBand forum: »Canadian Broadband Chose one that is unlimited and less expensive than Sympatico.
2. Ask in the direct forum »/forum/sympatdirect if they can put you back on unlimited (may as well tell them how you were insulted as well).
3. Accept the insult, stay will Bell for all your services, and be aware that you will be billed up the yahooo. And be aware that if they did this to you now, more abuse from them is sure to follow in the coming weeks/months.
Any other choice? |
