Guess I'm riding with the angels, been using Panda for a couple of years and never been spammed...
Yes you are correct in that if you dont sign up for the newsletter you will not get unwanted email.

I guess the guy above didnt read that part. It clearly asked if you accept the newsletters and he probably left them checked.

You might consider making the newsletter sign-up an op-in rather than an opt-out, and then nobody would make that mistake.

Once having made the error, many years ago, many found out that no matter what is done, one cannot change their minds and get off the mailing list. Just check out the Spamming complaints that have been rampant on the Net for way too long. The idea to make something opt in rather than just pushing it at the average user leaves all too many vulnerable and the fact that once done, it's impossible to change is just wrong!

Btw., I have not had a problem for some time now as my filtering takes care of the problem quite nicely.

I totally agree with this statement. I have made that suggestion so lets see where it gets us.

It's about time and than heaven for small favors. I might even be able to remove Panda from my Junk/Spam mail filter after all this time.

Thank you for letting me know and for being so persistent in letting so many others know as well.

Spoke too soon. You might want to check the link you have in your original post. I am now getting a strange page when clicking on it.
