[Info] Staten Island

Need some info on SI. Looking to move there from the Bronx. How are the prices, people, commute, traffic/parking. All the 'goods'?

Commuting to Jersey is great.
Commuting to Manhattan is not so great.

Don't come here without two things:

1.) Drivers license
2.) Car

If you come without them, you'll understand why really quick.

Traffic during rush hour (in car) and weekends will make you wish you were in the SOUTH Bronx. Prices tend to be higher than other boroughs, especially gasoline. Not by much but enough to notice.

Commute will depend on which part of SI.

Depending on the nerighborhood, Staten Island is mostly suburbia so expect that type of scenery. Prices are more or less in line with the other boroughs not named Manhattan. Traffic can be a killer leaving SI eastbound IF there is any type of construction or they decide to close off one section of the Verazzano's or a lane. Traffic is much lighter westbound into Jersey.
