Verizon DSL Router LAN 2 LAN VPN Tunnel

I have a customer with Verizon DSL and they are looking into possibly setting up a LAN 2 LAN VPN between offices. I know at one office they have the Verizon supplied router / modem, and its possible we may use a different VPN router at the other end. Has anyone ever set up a VPN using Verizon supplied equipment? If so is there anything I should be aware of before implementing this. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

tgarr, good morning

you can use any brand of vpn router that has IPSec, PPtP etc.

if you want, post what is the brand and model of the verizon-provided modem/router and i'de be glad to do a quick research for you.

god bless

Thanks for the reply... I'm not sure what brand of router is is but it's a all in 1 router... wireless, modem, and router. I did see the portion for VPN and I assume that it should be pretty simple if it can use the standard IPSec tunnel set up. If thats the case I think I will just get a Linksys VPN router for the remote end and attempt to create the LAN 2 LAN tunnel. Thanks again.

If they supplied the standard Westell 6100 modem/router, you'll probably need to bridge it and then set the router up to handle he PPPoE translation.
