Kevin Crull and his marketing

Click for full size
I just received the following marketing letter from Kevin Crull at Bell, and I would like to share it with everyone.

I think Crull and Bibic are not sharing information, because I swear that Bibic has been going on about capacity problems, yet, Crull, in his letter, claims a "direct uncongested gateway to the Internet" is available with his special Sympatico offer! Crull even goes as far as promoting their "new, next-generation fiber optic network"

These blatant marketing lies really need to be addressed.

EDIT: You must be logged into DSLR in order to view the large image. I scanned it at 300dpi so we could all read the fine print

Is it the marketing that's lying or Bibic and the people promoting throttling who are lying????

Wow, this is awful. So after the 3 months.. on the $42.95 plan... your cap goes from 60gig to 30gig... they also want you to be in a 2 year contract... AND have 2 other bell services? Doesn't sound like much of a deal to me... at least for the customer.

Re: Kevin Crull and his marketing

no no, you dont get it ... the network is uncongested now with these plans because throttling is happening according to bibic ... now EVERYONE can enjoy these new plans without p2p congesting their networks..

get it ? LOL ... aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah shoot me ! f*cking beavers too eh ..

yeah, but you know for people that think they need EVERYTHING bell .. their phone , cell phone. . expressvu /.. maybe this deal looks good to the brainwashed followers, who subscribe to more services than they even understand how to use them ........

we need to circle our own letters ... to follow up with Bells letters, that clearly explain how " BTW: this is a marketing ploy to convince you we are doing something good for you, but in actuality you are all fools .. "

Someone should send that to CAIP for use in their respnose. If Bell says there's no congestion, then there's no need to throttle.

Give me a mailing address and I would be more than happy to.

I think so far every missed the important line "FIBRE"!!!

Theres no capacity problems with fibre, the capacity problems are on the copper backbone (how could there be when they are prepared to offer you 3x the speed). So far users that have fibre going to their nodes are not throttled. I think Bell thinks they are going to lose this one, so they might as well roll out what they should have been rolling out a bit earlier then they had planned. Since the capacity will decrease on copper this way and no more need to throttle, although this should have been the solution all along.

We all should call from a payphone and get them going, start asking very technical questions to confuse them.

That's not true. I'm on a remote (FTTN) and I'm most definitely throttled. The throttling is at the BAS level, not the DSLAM level. Also, Bell has no copper backbone. I'm pretty sure that beyond the DSLAM it's all fibre.

Here we go.... "an enhanced Internet Service" and "an uncongested network"

This just after they started DPI and throttling wholesalers... people there is something going on here and it has the stench of market shaping all over it.
